Welcome back!

It has been more than a year since our last dispatch.  Much has happened in the meantime, but that will have to be covered later.  Right now there is more pressing business at hand.  There is scarcely a week before the Democratic National Convention, and much work still to be done.

A quick word about the site:

I have arranged this site much like the previous one.  There are some differences in overall direction highlighted here.  There are no separate Gallery pages this time. Instead photo galleries will be embedded in individual posts.  Photos will be featured more prominently.  I have been working to restore some old content and i will be back -posting as i can complete it.  I will also be focusing on back-posting some old content that was never before published — thoughts and writings that are still pertinent to our story.  Check the archives page in the coming weeks to see what you might have missed.

Over the next two months our writing will be centered around a road trip with an organization called the Backbone Campaign whom Nick and I have allied ourselves with to help provide a cross-country education and activism tour featuring a impressive array of attention grabbing giant puppets and street art.  The tour is called the “Procession for the Future.” We will be carrying amongst other things, a thirty-foot preamble to the constitution entitled “We the People” painted on fabric and signed by thousands, through the streets of Denver, St Paul, and then onward as far as our funding can get us.

It has been a scramble getting everything ready to leave town, and recreating this website at the same time.  We leave tomorrow morning, so all following entries will be made from the road.

But it is good to be back.
