RNC: it keeps getting worse

Another long f***ing day. I had obligations at an all day “peace picnic” across the river. What a waste of time while things continued to worsen downtown. What is peace without justice?  At midnight I am hearing word-of-mouth reports that between 100 and 200 hundred more people have been arrested. That would bring the total for this week to at least 400.

Also more mainstream journalists have been arrested today. I am glad at least to report that people have not given up yet, especially those who continue to stay in the streets despite the enormous firepower and impunity at the disposal of the police and special forces. — doubly so considering that anyone in the streets also risks serious felony charges which are being passed out like free toothbrushes and flipflops in the county jail.

Goddamn it! I have to go to bed. Here is a copy of tonight’s Indymedia ticker. It will give you a picture of how crazy it got.
